Abstract This article examines the contribution of Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse ecclesiology Anglican Church Australia (ACA). The focus is on diocesanism – strong form diocesan autonomy that exists in ACA. concludes identified and associated dispersion ecclesial authority as key factors constraining ACA’s responses child sexual abuse, actively sought modify its impact. also points significance Commission’s findings ACA ecclesiological understandings change.
